A Brief Recap

Today is my first day off in a week…so, what’s been going on?

Last week I auditioned for “Lake House,” the new Adam Sandler film. Very exciting. The scene I read for was, needless to say, a lot of fun. I saw some familiar faces from other films I have worked on in the past couple of years, as well as DET. I was so happy to be there, and to be in Boston in general. It was such a sunny, gorgeous day!

Spring is here.

I’ve been working at CPTV, which is always a good time. I have learned a lot about the technical side of working at a studio, as well as the fundraising aspects for non-profits, particularly in the entertainment industry. I think it will help me garner a better idea of what I need to work on for Bated Breath. Plus, the people who work there are amazingly supportive and interested in what I’m doing, which is always nice.

This weekend I headed up to Keene, NH once again to film for “Fursona.” We had to do a scene that got rained out last weekend. We filmed in Portsmouth. It was a beautiful, sun-soaked day, which was exactly what we needed…maybe a bit windy! But that didn’t stop pedestrians from hanging out and watching the set-ups of the various shots and the scenes as they were filmed. One woman who I saw last time we were there was very interested in what we were doing and asked the director a million questions. A good sign! We also did some pick-up shots, and there will be more to come! And we had some of the best vegan pizza I have ever had! In any event, the film is starting to wrap up for the deadline of May 2nd.

The new layout of the site is coming along. My web designer has thrown some really cool ideas my way. This is good…I am an artist in many ways…but not so much in the realm of graphic design. Stay tuned for developments – site design and otherwise…
